Personal Coaching with Jacqui
You’re an extremely creative individual, brimming with ideas. You have talent and drive. Yet there are only so many hours in the day. In chasing all of your ideas, you sometimes find you don’t catch any of them. They seem elusive – just out of reach.
I know. As a writer, an entrepreneur, an actor, a coach – I’ve been there. Like you, I’ve experienced the heady excitement of pursuing a dream – and the frustrations of trying to make it all happen at once.
We are so in love with our projects. Our writing or our art is a part of us. And we can see ourselves with the finished book in hand, or at a private view of our work, onstage in a lead role or nailing that pitch on Dragon’s Den.
But how to get there when the path is still so unclear…
I’d love to help you, one-on-one, to uncover your true creative desires and to enable them to come alive…
I’m Jacqui Lofthouse, a novelist, creative soul and Founder of The Writing Coach.
In a lifetime devoted to writing and writers, it’s been my privilege to coach hundreds of people to achieve their artistic goals. I’m here to support you, as you choose what is essential in your life and focus on developing the literary or artistic career that you have imagined.
BUILD YOUR PERSONAL ARTISTIC VISION OR BUSINESS by focusing on essentials
– one project at a time
Jacqui is thoughtful, responsive and innovative. Her feedback is balanced, practical, and constructive. I am always inspired by my discussions with her; I don’t know how she does it, she is a wizard with her own brand of alchemy.
Voula Grand, author of ‘Honor’s Shadow’
Finding it hard to choose a path?
If you choose to pursue coaching with me, that’s exactly what we do together. We look at everything you dream of and we break it down and find out what matters to you most.
We brainstorm your ideas and I ask questions that help you understand what is truly calling you. Together we get clear on that vision and start to map it out.
Sometimes this means tough choices. You may have to ‘kill your darlings’ in order to make real artistic strides. But it is absolutely worth it. What you focus on grows. And together we focus on your artistic or entrepreneurial growth and development.
In the course of our work together, I share the tools that you need to create the outcome you desire – whether that’s a published book, a leading role or a solo exhibition. I’ll offer advice on the creative life and creative business and help you focus on taking the right action that will lead to real results. I can also support you with project management and offer resources that will speed your processes.
Do you read my manuscript?
Only if you sign up for The Full Mentor programme – if you’re a writer, head over to The Writing Coach where you can see all of our coaching programmes and read about my team of editors too.
Jacqui is the first person I show all my novels to and my most important critic. As well as being a terrific novelist in her own right, she has an acute eye for what is not quite working in any piece of work and is exceptionally good at pointing it out in a way that is firm but constructive and helpful.
Louise Doughty – Colleague, Booker Prize Judge 2008 and Author of the bestselling Apple Tree Yard.
What is Personal Artistic Coaching?
Our work together is a uniquely tailored process that I have honed over many years of working with writers, visionaries, artists and change-makers.
It’s a safe space where you can take an honest look at your own creative vision – and work in partnership to develop it.
When you try to choose it all, you end up going in circles, or you burn out. But when you get absolutely clear on your path – that’s when interesting things start to happen. When you can see the route, the planning becomes incredibly exciting. You start to do things that may once have seemed a little scary, but now you know for sure that you’re taking the right steps. I can also help with money mindset, so as your art develops, you also grow your potential to make money from your creative work.
I help you with the planning, the goal setting and the action. And we have a lot of fun in the process, especially when things start falling into place and you begin to experience the exact results that never seemed possible before.
What does it cost?
Personal coaching is an investment in your artistic success – both creative and financial – and packages begin at £1245 for a three month engagement. We work deeply and I am a partner in your creative growth, visibility and success. However, until 23rd December 2023 only, there is a 35% discount to celebrate my birthday!
My diary is now filling up with debut author speaking events, and my novel has been submitted for a range of prestigious prizes including the Desmond Elliott Prize and the Women’s Prize for Fiction… There are so many people who have helped me on this journey in many different ways, but Jacqui Lofthouse is at the head of my list.
Carolyn Kirby, author of ‘The Conviction of Cora Burns’ and ‘Falling’
Are there other options?
Yes, if you’re a writer, but not ready for one-to-one work, you can work with me in my online programme The Literary Community where I teach regular live classes and facilitate weekly meetings with our wonderful members.
Finding Jacqui has been the best thing I’ve done in furthering my writing career – better by far than any course I’ve undertaken or any help I’ve received from agents and editors… I’d recommend her to all the struggling, baffled and overwhelmed writers I know, if I didn’t want to keep her all to myself…
Dr. Victoria Best, Author of An Introduction to Twentieth-Century French Literature.
Interested in Coaching with Jacqui?
A friend recommended Jacqui and, over six months, she gave me the confidence to take the big step of committing a whole year to one project… Now, my first novel Cuckoo – the one Jacqui helped me with – has been published by Headline. I am about to hand my editor my second. I have one of the best agents in the country, have sold Italian, French, German and Dutch rights and I write full time.
